Daniel J. Broeske, M.D.
Dr. Broeske's research interests and involvement span nearly the full range of clinical neurology and he has undertaken research in such varied specialized areas as Parkinsonism, headache, multiple sclerosis and dementia. He has given frequent lectures in virtually all major areas of clinical neurology, both at the teaching hospital as well as in the community. Dr. Broeske was also the director of the neuroelectrodiagnostic laboratory at Kern Medical Center where he performed or oversaw the performance of electromyograms, nerve conduction studies, electroencephalograms, evoked potentials and other advanced neurological studies. These studies greatly assist Dr. Broeske and his colleagues in allied specialties, including neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, in the management and treatment of chronic neck and back pain, neuropathy, and epilepsy, as well as other neurologic diseases. Dr. Broeske is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency in neurology at University Hospital, the teaching center for the State University of New York at Stony Brook on Long Island. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and, as such, is board-certified in neurology. He is also certified by ABIME as a independent medical examiner. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association. It should be of interest to our readers that Dr. Broeske achieved the highest scores in the nation on the Neurology Residency In-Service Examination required of all graduating neurology residents across America.
